Rocks at Two Lights
This oil painting (20x24) of rocks at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. I painted it Plein Air (on location) over the last 2 summers. The surging sea was powerful and magnificent. The rocks appear to have been shattered by the swells over the centuries. Nevertheless, they remain solid and firm against the constant onslaught. I am influenced by Homer's paintings of the Maine seacoast and Rockwell Kent.
