Meadow
This is an oil painting of the meadow in the beautiful area of Stroudwater in Portland, Maine. This was painted "Plein Air" (it was fully painted on location). I love the intense Maine light and how it bathed the shrubs and landscape. Artist throughout the like Winslow Homer, George Bellows, John Singer Sargent, and Rockwell Kent made pilgrimages to Maine to capture the beautiful Maine light. I wanted this image to warm the heart of those who view it.
