Casco Bay
This is an oil painting of a scene on Casco Bay, Portland, Maine. This painting was done entirely by Plein Air (painted outside on location). Painting the sea poses challenges. The Maine light is constantly in flux. The clouds come and go causing changes in color and shade. The sea winds blow changing the structure of the trees and bushes. I embraced the changes and challenges in order to record the rich beauty of another Maine scene.
